Bionic Dues Review | ComboCaster

Added: 14.11.2013 21:17 | 11 views | 0 comments

Bionic Dues is the new game from Arcen Games, a studio that seems to have an inexhaustible inspiration because in a little over a year ComboCaster already analyzed two sets of them, this being the third. This time Arcen brings us a roguelike shift with mechs and their customization. The roguelike are really fashionable because yesterday we launched a review of the last one and we were actually many who came here. Something that also seems to be more popular than ever are mechs. In recent times apart from Bandai releases that are already normal, had a fantastic online shooter, Mechwarrior Online a monster movie that while not exactly a movie mechs everyone can see the inspiration, Pacific Rim and we still have to Titanfall next year. If these humanoid robots were ever in fashion is now.

ZTGD | Final Exam (XBLA) Review

Added: 14.11.2013 14:17 | 9 views | 0 comments

Jae Lee writes: The genre of co-op beat-em-ups has been becoming more and more saturated after the great success of Castle Crashers during the early years of XBLA. However, even though the genre itself has seen more releases, none have managed to take the title of beat-em-up king of XBLA from Castle Crashers. While Final Exam also misses the mark due to a few notable issues, it still ends up being a title worthwhile for those who are fans of the genre.

King Arthurs Gold is a 2D multiplayer real-time action strategy game. Its apparently been kicking around for a few months but was just released on Steam this week. It combines cartoony aesthetics with physics-driven tile based building and good old fashioned medieval army combat (Terraria mixed with Worms and King Arthurs World).

Beyond Two Souls Review - Castle Couch

Added: 07.11.2013 7:23 | 12 views | 0 comments

Beyond: Two Souls revolves around Jodie Holmes (Ellen Page) a girl whos born with an inexplicable connection to the soul of a boy named Aiden. The two are tethered between worlds, making them completely inseparable, and although Aiden himself is ethereal and invisible to the human eye, he and Jodie converse freely which puts Jodie in the very awkward position of constantly talking to herself. Because of her special abilities Jodie ends up being raised under government care by Nathan Dawkins, whos played by William Dafoe. Both actors do a stellar job, especially given how goofy some of the games dialogue can be, but two performers alone can only do so much to fix a messy narrative.

Xbox 360 25-in-25: Super Meat Boy

Added: 06.11.2013 21:17 | 11 views | 0 comments

BT writes: While it may seem strange to highlight Super Meat Boy on a list of Xbox games, given the rather big fallout between Team Meat and Microsoft, it is still very much a must-have game for your Xbox 360. Not only is the Xbox 360 the only video game console that has the ridiculously fun, bloody platformer (as well as the best controller for the experience), but it is one of the games that helped make the XBLA service become a force to be reckoned with. While games like Castle Crashers helped give XBLA some early games for everyone to play, Super Meat Boy was a game-changer when it came out and still holds up as an excellent platformer to this day.
