Blizzard Entertainment emailed Battle.net subscribers to announce the first Heroes of the Storm World Championship Tournament will be held at BlizzCon 2015 in Irvine, CA with a combined total of $1.2 million in cash and prizes.

Winners of regional events, along with "competitors chosen by Nintendo," will battle it out in Los Angeles on June 14 at the Nokia Theatre as part of a multi-round competition. One player will ultimately be crowned champion in the first Nintendo World Championship since 1990.
