Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski has finished Super Mario 3D World on Wii U, and he is impressed to say the least. He said the game is "so tightly designed" and will be a "system selling title for the Wii U."

Super Mario 3D World Review: One Step Forward - Error Not Found

Added: 26.11.2013 2:17 | 6 views | 0 comments

Clint Prentice writes: "I think Ive figured out the problem Ive had with the Mario games since Super Mario 3D Land back in 2011: its all about the design. Super Mario 3D Land was varied, with the developers tossing out new mechanics left and right that never feel overused, and level designs that were colorful and unique. But then there were those other pesky New Super Mario Bros. games. Those were the ones that felt stale; they lacked creativity and that spark of something special that made games like 3D Land so much fun. Super Mario 3D World continues the philosophy of 3D Land, as well as the philosophy of most modern Nintendo games: its varied and quite enjoyable most of the time, but also has the tendency to get stale quickly."

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Review: Best of Both - Error Not Found

Added: 26.11.2013 1:17 | 8 views | 0 comments

Clint Prentice writes: "The title of Nintendos newest Zelda game describes much of its charm and ingenuity. This entry stands as a link between two design philosophies: the old, much beloved Zelda formula perfected by A Link to the Past, and the new, more freeing, exploratory format that gives players what they want as soon as they want it. A Link Between Worlds stands at the crossroads of these two different game types, melding them seamlessly. It shows Nintendo isnt afraid to adapt and try new things in an effort to spice up the Zelda formula before it runs out of steam."

Microsoft responds to Xbox One 'Click of Death' reports.

In a statement responding to reports last week that some users had been suffering from faulty disc drives, Microsoft told IGN that, "The issue is affecting a very small number of Xbox One customers. We're working directly with those affected to get a replacement console to them as soon as possible through our advance exchange program. Rest assured, we are taking care of our customers."

Those who have experienced the issue have reported the disc drive making a grinding noise whenever a disc is inserted and failing to read the disc.

Xbox One launched last Friday,...

[Update 3: Unboxing, Hard Disc Noise] Xbox One Launch Live Coverage, How To Fix Problems, Xbox Live Status, Green Screen Of Death, More!

[Update 3]: Up top you'll find my unboxing video. Click here for a better picture of the messed up trigger I found as I unwrapped my brand new Xbox One: Day One Edition controller. What's different about the Day One Edition console? It comes in a black box cardboard box instead of a green one. That's about it. I didn't pay any more than others paid for their non-Day One Edition Xbox, but I also gave my money to Microsoft earlier than I should have so now I just feel stupid.

Click of Death the new Red Ring of Death?

Some early Xbox One adopters have reported problems with their console failing to read optical discs.

Videos of the issue appeared online overnight following the console's midnight launch and appear to show faulty Blu-ray drives, with the console making a clicking noise after a disc is inserted and reportedly failing to install the game.

It isn't yet clear how common the issue may be. Microsoft has yet to formally acknowledge the fault.

Xbox One's hardware fault follows an issue experienced by a small number of PlayStation 4 users last week, which left...
