Industry analysts say Advanced Warfare proves the series has "peaked".
There's been a strange trend in recent years - in the run-up to a Call of Duty launch, people spring from the ether to say that the series is tired and terrible, before each new game goes on to make enough money to pay off cumulative world debt. It's been a series with perennial popularity - at least until now, if analysts Cowen and Company have anything to say about it.

What Happened to EA?

Im a 35 year old gamer, and that means several things;I owned singles on records and cassettes. I played the Atari 2600 when it was new.But most importantly, I remember Electronic Arts being a really classy and well-respected developer. Electronic Arts was set up way back in 1982 (research-tastic!) and in the early days they didnt just have a commitment to gaming; they actually had a Manifesto. It made it clear that they wanted to create great games that would entertain and bewitch a generation. They werent prepared to compromise on quality or take short cuts. These were guys that got into the business because of their love of all things tech and gaming and it showed. So what happened that made EA go from a name universally loved by all gamers to Worst Company in America 2012 2013?
