oprainfall writes: Deadly Premonition, even in its improved Directors Cut form, will not win any beauty contests. And some parts of it are much furiating than theyre worth, especially the endless driving and harsh quick-time events. But this game more than makes up for its last-gen looks and occasional gameplay hiccups by masterfully creating a genuinely creepy atmosphere with an absurdly comic flip side in a vast open world. Under the sometimes ugly facade is a polarizing masterpiece of bizarre niche gaming on par with anything SWERY65s idol Suda 51 has done. If anything, Deadly Premonition is much like Yorks beverage of choice. Like a strong coffee, it will leave a terrible taste in some gamers mouths, but those looking for a quick pick-me-up should at least give it a try.
