Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut Review | Games Fiends

Deadly Premonition: The Directors Cut brings a true original to the Playstation platform. Deadly Premonition is a game of contradictions on the one hand, it really looks terrible, and there isnt a whole lot in the actual gameplay that would draw anything other than criticism. On the other hand, the quirky storyline and aura of anything can happen makes it well worth playing and an unique experience, to say the least.

Its hard to say whether youre going to enjoy Deadly Premonition or not. If youre a huge fan of the series then this reboot may be picking up for the slight differences. If you havent played the original and think you wont have a problem in getting past the graphics barrier then there is a great story to be played through.

Deadly Premonition Director's Cut Review | FEARnet

Added: 04.06.2013 18:32 | 17 views | 0 comments

Deadly Premonition is not a game for everyone. The sloppy controls and odd, open-world gameplay will turn people off as surely as the behind-the-curve graphics and awful voice acting. However, this is a game that is completely dedicated to its vision, and stays the path no matter how crazy it may get. That has to count for something, and gamers with open mindsand possibly a supply of psychedelicswill get nothing but immense, insane joy from it. Details on the game have been left intentionally vague, as this game cannot be described properly through wordsit truly needs to be experienced to be appreciated, no matter how fucking nuts it seems.

Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut Review | Gaming Union

Added: 04.06.2013 18:19 | 2 views | 0 comments

Gaming Union: "Aside from newly added cutscenes, Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut is a technical mess that doesn't follow through on its promised improvements, often creating more than what plagued the original. The game still stands as a conundrum as it continues to exhibit its identity crisis towards the kind of game it wants to be. As a survival horror title it barely lives up to the definition but as an open world romp it has its teeth sunk in but, like with all sandbox titles, it can't stay afloat on exploration alone. Despite the flaws, there's a wonderful story lying in wait and those that give the game a chance will at least be rewarded in experiencing a unique narrative that is still like no other."

PC writes: A huge world with nothing to do except for boring side missions that dont give, nor take away from the experience. Deadly Premonition is too ambitious for its own good, and just couldnt deliver. Im sure theres something there for the people who are willing to look for it, but you are going to have search hard. I know this will find a place in some peoples hearts but if I had to say one thing about Deadly Premonition, it would be that this game is not for everyone.

Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut Review | The Gamers' Temple

Added: 04.06.2013 8:18 | 15 views | 0 comments

The Gamers' Temple: "Deadly Premonition is a mix of flaws and genius at the same time. If you can look past the flaws, you will find a survival horror game that is much different than your average run-of-the-mill survival horror game. It has much more variety than your standard survival horror game and the story is quite deep. Deadly Premonition is the type of game you really have to stick with if you want to see the best it has to offer. From the start of the game, it looks pretty bad overall, but give it a chance and you'll be in for a treat. The game is not perfect, and it's not bad, Deadly Premonition is somewhere in between, but one thing is for sure, it's unlike any other survival horror you have played before."
