State of Decay is a crowning achievement in the zombie genre, and more importantly, the survival genre. Undead Labs magnum opus hits all the right RPG-ish spots, with a deeply fulfilling post-apocalyptic world, base customization, elaborate character attributes and world effects, and a constant sense of permeating dread and urgency. This is a true zombie-apocalypse simulator, folks. The fact that this game is available for a third of the cost of full priced title is unreal. Do not let this one slip under your radar.

For time and testing reasons, the company explained, the PC version of State of Decay will not have modding tools, though the company has "no objection" to mods or modders.
"We look forward to seeing what our PC players come up with," the developer said.
State of Decay for PC will be featured in , and the initial release will only support controllers "for the purposes of feedback." The final version will "of course" have keyboard/mouse support, the developer said.

2013 release promised for PC port of undead survival RPG.
Enhanced graphics, an improved frame rate and support for higher resolutions are all promised for the upcoming PC version, which will launch initially as a controller-only title as part of Steam's Early Access program.
The final release will also include mouse and keyboard support.
