XMNR: David Cage and Quantic Dreams took Beyond: Two Souls to the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend and released a trailer and 35-minute video of the Playstation 3 game on Sunday. The footage itself looks fantastic and is a showcase for how far the current generation of consoles has come in graphics, animation and performance capture. Speaking exclusively to OPM UK, Quantic Dreams controversial CEO and founder David Cage addressed concerns from hardcore gamers about his own brand of interactive cinema, saying there is always a fear it wont be interactive. Cage stated his belief that the genre can continue in future, and told us about the importance of treating the player as the actor rather than pretending the player is the character.
