| Review of HORIs Fighting Commander 4 Controller for PS4/PS3 | The Outerhaven
Added: 02.08.2015 23:18 | 35 views | 0 comments
Keith writes: If youre like me, you like to dabble with fighting games but youre still a casual player. That meaning you cant justify the reason to pick up an expensive fight stick for the PlayStation 4, not that fight sticks are bad, because some of them are flat out sexy, but youre not that deeply involved to simply get one. Enter the Hori FC4, which could be exactly what the doctor ordered.
The first few things that youll notice is that the controller features 6 front facing buttons; Square, Triangle, Circe, X , R1 and R2. It still retains the top trigger buttons as well for the L1, L2, L3 and R3 buttons, which is pretty especially if you want to map special moves to the trigger buttons. As you would imagine, this was created and marketed for the fighting game crowd, so this is a huge feature. And if you need even more buttons, if that was possible, you can use the toggle switch on the top of the FC4 to change the L1 / L2 to L3 and R3 buttons, respectfully.

| Card Hunter Review | GameSpew

Callum at GameSpew writes: "I muttered a prayer to the gods to save me from my fiery fate, and closed my eyes as the huge scaled beast lunged forward. Expecting to be met by darkness, I was instead greeted by a strange voice. Two pizza margheritas with extra cheese? I ask the gods to save my life and they send me pizza? Truly, they work in mysterious ways. Enter Card Hunter, a charming homage to tabletop gaming.
Card Hunter is a free to play turn-based game inspired by tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons and Dragons, but with an original card game edge. Developed by Blue Manchu, the game is unashamedly self-referential of its tabletop influences, as the player is placed in the meta role of someone learning the ropes of a tabletop RPG. Your objective is to slay the monsters that stand in your way, and the game essentially plays out as a series of DD combat encounters. However, rather than telling the Dungeon Master how you want to attack or how you want to move as you would in a tr...

| Startech USB 2.0 HD PVR Video Game Capture Card - Hardware Review | Chalgyr's Game Room
Added: 30.07.2015 13:19 | 38 views | 0 comments
Chalgyr's Game Room writes:
Startech is relatively well known in computer hardware as they manufacture cost-effective alternatives to name-brand peripherals. It was only a matter of time before the company took notice of the ever-growing content capture market, especially with the explosive popularity of Elgato, Hoppauge, and the utterly fantastic AVerMedia gear. Enter the USB 2 HD PVR external capture card. When it was first released it was one of the early 1080p capture devices and was quite affordable given its competition (which generally cost upwards of $300 for a portable capture solution), though much has changed since the device was first released, does it still stand up to its competition?
The HD PVR is a small, compact USB 2.0 capture device that a large number of gamers these days are looking for. As a way to go through and capture their montages, "pwnage" streaks, Let's Play and Longplay videos, the HD PVR's pricepoint is now right in the middle of the pack. While...
