In Nintendos recent corporate briefing they have decided to start basing their platforms on connectivity and are looking to do so through NNID and the use of smart devices. While Nintendo has not elaborated on this it is assumed they are bringing the NNID to smart devices in the form of an app. This is being done to ease connection with other Nintendo devices and to help nintendo connect with users easier.
