FM writes: "Far Cry 4 has a lot to live up to in my eyes and from what I have seen from trailers and demos it looks like it wont disappoint. However this was not the case when I played the game at EGX. I understand that these demos are not long at all and dont showcase every aspect of the game which is fine however what I was given at EGX left me somewhat let down."

Namely, aspects such as repetitive gameplay and a thin story has been criticized heavily. However once you realize that Destiny is more closely related to games such as Diablo, Phantasy Star Online, and Final Fantasy XIV than Bungie's own Halo, it's clear that much of what people don't like about Destiny are actually just common traits of MMO games.

What is it about digitised violence thats just so appealing? Of course there are limits to how visceral and detailed we want it to be for most of us anyway, but each to their own and certain titles certainly aim to misbehave, packing in as much controversial imagery and content as possible. However when that becomes a franchises defining factor it can only go one of two ways just look at the huge difference in opinion between Mortal Kombat and something like Postal, for example. But, like watching Rambo unleash all manner of hell on a ammo shell-spitting turret, it works best when its all very much tongue-in-cheek.
