Marcus Estrada writes: "Can you believe weve already made it halfway through the year? Hundreds of Kickstarter campaigns have come and gone in this short span of time, and as always, only a select few end up victorious. Today were looking at those fortunate successes for the month of July. In this post youll learn exactly how many video game campaigns made it through, how much everything raised, and a whole heck of a lot more. This month saw two massive Kickstarters in the form of The Bards Tale IV and Shenmue 3 so you can be sure that these both affected results in very powerful ways."

Celestian Tales: Old North Review | RPG Site

Added: 14.08.2015 8:18 | 9 views | 0 comments

RPG Site writes: "Celestian Tales: Old North is ultimately a game that falls short of the mark. While it all looks and sounds good, there are just too many problems with the way it presents its story. There is a heavy reliance on backtracking, and there are some important events that are brought up once and never addressed again. The game felt like it was cut short, and that could be due to the Kickstarter budget that they had at their disposal. Despite all of that, this is still a solid effort from Ekuator Games, and I would really like them to take another stab at this genre - if only to listen to that wonderful music once again."

Tale of Tales Returning to Kickstarter After Sunset Disappointment

Added: 14.08.2015 8:18 | 7 views | 0 comments

Marcus Estrada writes: "Recently, long-time developer Tale of Tales revealed that they were no longer pursuing commercial video game production. Although they ran a successful Kickstarter for Sunset, it failed to attract much attention from the gaming populace after launch. This huge misstep caused the development team to reevaluate their work and decide that they were not going to make games for the "mainstream" any longer."

Grip, the spiritual successor to Rollcage, takes to Kickstarter on PS4 and PC

Added: 13.08.2015 20:18 | 4 views | 0 comments

Grip, the Rollcage spiritual successor we reported on last month, has launched a Kickstarter. Developer Caged Element asks for $657,000 Canadian dollars (around £322,000), and, if its crowdfunder is successful, will develop versions of the futuristic combat racer for both PC and PlayStation 4. For Grip, Caged Element is channelling fondness for Rollcage, the 1999 Psygnosis-published PSone arcade racer. The footage in the video, below, is the work of just two developers: Chris Mallinson and Robert Baker. Baker worked on the original Rollcage games at Attention to Detail. The pair have been working on a Grip prototype for the best part of 2015 in the hope Kickstarter money will fuel full development. Expect plenty of drum and bass.
