Resident Evil: Revelations 2's Season Finale Is A Huge Disappointment

Added: 18.03.2015 7:19 | 9 views | 0 comments

Kotaku : If you were hoping the episodic Resident Evil experiment would go out with a bang, I have some bad news. If you were hoping for an unsatisfying conclusion to this island story...well, that's a weird thing to hope for. Congrats?

Ori And The Blind Forest: The Kotaku Review

Added: 10.03.2015 5:18 | 24 views | 0 comments

"Pleasant. If I had to sum up Ori and the Blind Forest in one word, that would be it. The new Xbox One and PC platformer looks like a magnificently drawn kids' fantasy book sprung to life. It has the lush, magical aesthetic and inoffensive charm that gamers have come to acceptand expectfrom indie games."

Pneuma: Breath of Life: The Kotaku Review

Added: 02.03.2015 23:09 | 16 views | 0 comments

Kotaku: The people who made Pneuma: Breath of Life are trying to convince players that their game is talking to them. Not, like, in terms of art direction, puzzle design or anything like that. It's the vein of an actual conversation. Part of it is worth listening to, while the other part feels like background noise you can't quite tune out. The titular character in the perspective-based puzzle game thinks he's a goda rather chatty, self-absorbed one. You're never going to see the face of the entity you're controlling in Pneuma. The only relatable aspect of Pneuma is his voice, which rambles in nervous, ponderous or smug tones. Most of the time he shuts up altogether, giving the player's brain space to puzzle its way out of the game's various arcanely ordered spaces.

Added: 25.02.2015 14:00 | 16 views | 0 comments

It looks like Activision may be ready to bring back its popular rhythm-based music series, as a new report claims Guitar Hero is making a return.

Inside sources have told Kotaku that not only is a new entry in the series in development for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, it's expected to make its grand debut at E3 and release sometime later this year. The title is also said to be less cartoony in style and have a more realistic look.

Shadow Of Mordor: The Bright Lord: The Kotaku Review

Added: 25.02.2015 4:10 | 11 views | 0 comments

Kotaku: The Bright Lord, Shadow of Mordor's new DLC campaign, promises an epic showdown with Lord of the Rings head honcho Sauron. It was designed in part to address a common fan complaint about the original game's anticlimactic ending. But while it does give players a chance to fight Sauron, I'd hardly call it an epic battle.

The NES Game That Inspired Resident Evil

Added: 25.02.2015 2:10 | 8 views | 0 comments

Peter Tieryas of Kotaku writes: "One of the best horror games ever developed came out for the Famicom in 1989 from Capcom. It was a rare, licensed game that was somehow better than its source material. Deceptively called Sweet Home, it was an RPG that was loosely based on a Japanese horror film of the same name. Even all these years later, the game mechanics hold up brilliantly and its terrifying atmosphere make it easy to see how it inspired the original Resident Evil."

Final Fantasy XV Is 60 Percent Finished

Added: 20.02.2015 13:10 | 6 views | 0 comments

Kotaku: Well, we've waited this long. I guess we'll be waiting a little longer. In FFXV demo tonight, director Hajime Tabata was asked how much of the game is currently finished. He first said around 50 to 55 percent, but after talking through it for a few moments, he said, "We're now at 60 percent." Keep in mind that this is 60 percent since the game was rebooted as Final Fantasy XV. Previously, the game was known as Final Fantasy Versus XII, which was announced in 2006. Then, in 2012, Kotaku reported a rumor that the game had been killed off or folded into the next Final Fantasy.
