EB's Matt Heywood writes, "Telltales second episode of its Game of Thrones video game series has been out for about a week now on most platforms, so like the first episode I recorded my entire playthrough to showcase what The Lost Lords had to offer. This episode wasnt quite as shocking as the first one, but it still packed plenty of Game of Thrones shenanigans and more than enough political maneuvering to keep any A Song of Ice and Fire fan happy. You can check out my full review for all of the details on The Lost Lords, or if you just want to watch what happens you can hit up the four videos below."

Game of Thrones: Episode 2 The Lost Lords Review (GameWatcher)

Added: 09.02.2015 10:10 | 2 views | 0 comments

From GameWatcher.com: "Historically speaking, the second episode is Telltales Achilles Heel. From Sam Max Save The World to The Wolf Among Us Telltale have always started strong with an impressive and intriguing first episode then nearly let the entire season down with the second, which despite being generally good is often shorter and less compelling than the first. Therefore Im happy to say that Game of Thrones: Episode 2 - The Lost Lords is Telltales best follow-up episode since Bone: The Great Cow Race. Its not perfect and the first episode is still better, but its not letting the season down. No real spoilers from this point on."

It's hard to tell whether you can even classify Telltale's work as games anymore. Yes, there is interaction, there is player agency and there is even some semblance of gameplay, but at a certain point, it ceases to be a "video game" and starts to be a "lightly interactive movie." We're not quite there yet, but The Lost Lords, the latest episode of Telltale's Game of Thrones series, walks a fine line and nearly tumbles over into Dragon's Lair territory.

AS: Westeros looks like a wonderous place to visit. Its got amazing landscapes and architecture, and the people of the world are just as colorful. Well, some anyway. Most are just covered in blood. For some reason though, we just cant pull ourselves away from the carnage, betrayal, and bad decisions. In Telltales little pocket of the universe, thats especially true. The weight of our choices is felt with every breath and each step we take, and while its terribly stressful to be in charge of so many lives, its also incredibly exciting.

RPGFan: Playing Telltale's Game of Thrones series feels like experiencing a slightly interactive two-hour version of the TV show every two months. Whether this is a strength or weakness is entirely up to personal preference. Those still on the fence about the series should know that Telltale's quality writers who honor and respect the source material have captured the delivery and essence of HBO's take on the novels.

Game Of Thrones Episode 2: The Lost Lords (PS4) Review | CGM

CGM: Telltale really does deserve some kind of award for being one of the few companies that doesnt butcher an intellectual property when they turn it into a videogame. In fact, theyre one of the few companies that get what makes an IP special and manage to carry that over into the adventure games they make. Weve seen it in The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, and now, perhaps more importantly for mainstream fans that dont play adventure games, theyre continuing to nail it for Game of Thrones.
