GameZebo: Few developers are as synonymous with the point-and-click adventure genre as LucasArts, but Daedalic Entertainment is rapidly working their way to a similar stature. With their Deponia trilogy set to reach its inevitably charming conclusion later this year alongside the release of new IP The Night of the Rabbit, one might think Daedalic has already met their on track to be the next LucasArts quota for 2013. That means the upcoming Memoria is merely icing on the platypus-flavored cake.

GameZebo: As theyve proven with the Deponia series, Daedalic knows how to make a solid adventure game. In fact, some have even compared the studios recent output to that of LucasArts in their prime. Thats a heavy compliment, but it isnt unwarranted. The studio has an undeniable knack for telling a good story, and their puzzle design is nothing to scoff at, either.

Its always sad to see a notable and historic games studio close down, regardless of the circumstances. So many talented studios in recent years have succumbed to economic downturn and poor sales, slowly fading away into obscurity. THQ studios is probably one of the biggest casualties you are likely to have heard of recently, and you cant help but think that if such a large and well known studio such as THQ can fall foul of such a fate, anyone could be next.

Brad Long at Aussie-Gamer.com writes: "on April 3rd.
With this, Disney effectively ensured that all future Lucas games would be either developed by Disney Interactive (to be brutally honest, this is worst-case scenario) or developed by third Party Studios.
The following five franchises paired with five different developers is a scenario that I would love to see happen if Disney were to magically allow me to choose the future of their gaming franchises."
