PlayStation already has its Killer App in PSNow. Sony just needs to believe in it

Added: 11.08.2015 10:18 | 6 views | 0 comments

PSGamer: "While Microsoft are loudly working on a way to stream games from your Windows 10 PC to an Xbox One, Sony could potentially offer a PC gaming streaming service without the need for a PC at all. This is exactly what Gaikai specialised in before being acquired by Sony. Setting up deals with 3rd parties could see the best that PC gaming has to offer beamed directly to your PS4, PS3 or PSVita via PSNow, played on dedicated Keyboards and Mice. If Sony complete some smart business, we could see the likes of DOTA, Starcraft or World of Warcraft lining up next to Uncharted 3 and Killzone."

Polygon: "The pieces are still in play, but as we watch them moving around the board, the strategy becomes clear: Microsoft no longer sees a distinction between gaming on Xbox One and Windows PC. And it doesn't want you to see one, either."

We Happy Few Gamescom 2015 Hands-on Preview | Power Up Gaming

Added: 11.08.2015 3:18 | 14 views | 0 comments

Scott Russell writes: "We Happy Few had piqued my interest ever since its inaugural art on Kickstarter; an image of a startlingly vacant masked woman. I was then excited to see a new, creepy trailer debuting at Microsofts Gamescom conference on Tuesday. Looking for its demo booth on the show floor, I found it tucked below the Microsoft Live stage, a rather understated location for a game that seemed to have so much potential. It turned out that my confidence in its procedurally generated gameplay, and rural dystopian aesthetic, was completely justified."

Halo 5 Guardians preview: 343 could be taking Halo's multiplayer to its zenith

Added: 10.08.2015 17:18 | 11 views | 0 comments

It is safe to say 343 Industries' tenure with the Halo series has been a bit rocky so far. In 2012, Halo 4 proved to be a perfectly fine but underwhelming continuation of the main series, while 2014's Master Chief Collection was nothing short of a disaster at launch taking months to reach a working, playable state. The team is yet to really make the series its own but from what we have seen so far of 2015's Halo 5: Guardians, it appears to be growing more at ease and more confident with the licence bestowed on it by Microsoft after Bungie hightailed it to go and make Destiny with Activision.
