Ive enjoyed my time with Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3. I used to write off the Warriors series as a simple button masher. While it may be like that on the Easy modes, try any Normal or harder mode and you can see that the game requires strategy, timing, and patience. You cannot go into a battle and just kill every enemy; the battlefield is dynamic, and your allies will inevitably need your help.

Everyone has a story for Butcher. It is a campfire ghost tale of this video game generation, right up there with the Hounds of Resident Evil Windows and I Can't Look At Mannequins The Same, Thank You Silent Hill. Everyone's Butcher story differs, but one thing remains the same:

Fresh Meat.

My Butcher Story begins on the original Playstation version of Diablo—here my story already deviates because nobody remembers the Playstation version. It was a Saturday night, everyone was asleep and I was wide awake, squinting at the screen. Was that a door? How do I use spells again?
I was not very good at this game. I was, however, very good at swearing.

The first time you hear the Butcher growl, "FRESH MEAT," you learn new words. Normal swearing does not apply. Remember when you were just fighting skeletons in a forest? What happened to that? What is this thing? All of these were questions asked in between bouts of verbal sludge spewed forth by an adolescent mind fueled by fear and Cheetos. I wasn't ready for the Butcher. I took the game back to my local Gamestop and never looked back.

That is, until He returned.

This Tuesday the first raid for Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward will open to players. It's called Alexander, and players have been spending countless hours preparing for it.

Alexander will first be available in its Normal difficulty variant this Tuesday following maintenance, which is said to be slightly less difficult than The Binding Coil of Bahamut. In two more weeks Savage difficult will unlock, offering a grueling challenge to FFXIV's most hardcore players. The raid won't be without reward, though. All new job-specific sets as well as other raid-exclusive items will be available to those who brave its many obstacles.

If you're a Final Fantasy fan you may be familiar with Alexander for his recurring appearances throughout the series, namely as a summon. In FFXIV players will be able to go inside of his large fortress-like body (seen above in art form) and battle menacing bosses in a steampunk environment.
