Contrast PS4 Review | The Game Scouts

Added: 26.11.2013 13:20 | 0 views | 0 comments

Tin Salamunic: The indie-developed Contrast finds itself in an unexpected spotlight. Having replaced Driveclub as one of Playstation Plus freebies for the Playstation 4 system launch, it carries the burden (and privilege) alongside Resogun of being the title to kick off a new-gen indie genesis. If this atmospheric puzzler is any indication of what PS4s indie-future looks like, then Sonys slogan Greatness Awaits may truly live up to its claim. While the venture through this bizarre and beautiful world is brief, its an experience that lingers long after the credits roll. It may not be the best technical representation of Sonys new hardware, but its breathtaking aesthetics, fascinating narrative, and exciting puzzles elegantly mask the occasional framerate dips and odd platforming segments.

How do you make a deity vulnerable? After all, when youre a strapping slab of irritable Ancient Greek muscle who can zap himself into a skyscraper-sized slaphead, youre not going to sweat a narked-off Harpy. After Kratos conquered Ares and claimed his godly seat on Mount Olympus in the original, Sony Santa Monica had set itself quite the challenge in creating a worthy follow-up to PS2s most iconic actioner.

Why arent you playing Warframe for PS4?

Added: 23.11.2013 12:17 | 2 views | 0 comments

From the article, "Since the PS4s launch, [Jeremy Hill]'s seen and heard many opinions on games such as Knack, Killzone: Shadow Fall and Resogun. When I tune into the Live from PlayStation app, the majority of streams are either focusing on these games or CoD: Ghosts, Battlefield 4 or NBA 2K14. The one game that doesnt seem to be getting much attention is Warframe. Warframe is one of a few free-to-play launch titles for PS4. It didnt get a lot of promotion for its PS4 arrival, so this may explain why it seems to fly under the radar. If you want to play a third-person team-based shooter with a sci-fi twist, you have to give Warframe a try."

CDW:If you fancy taking an adventure down memory lane, then this Square Enix collection should suffice, yet, if youre new to the franchise, youre probably better off with a more recent iteration unless you can stomach the old ways of the PS2s limitations. With each of the main games clocking in at around 25 hours a piece, plus an extra 3 hours from the cutscene game, youll get your moneys worth if youre a fan. One thing to keep in mind is that after an extended period of time with that camera, somehow even Goofys inane, lolling smile will eventually start to grate. And that shouldnt ever really happen.
