Added: 25.10.2013 0:17 | 10 views | 0 comments

By Thomas Whitehead There are a number of intriguing projects on the way to the Wii U eShop, though not all have featured at expos or in Nintendo Direct sizzle reels. Imagine Me by KinifiGames is one such game, a title that was Kickstarted over two years ago for PC, Mac and Linux, and has now emerged as another experience bound for the Wii U eShop.

Wind Waker and the Failing Wii U

Added: 20.10.2013 1:17 | 30 views | 0 comments

Thomas Ferguson of Kaboomshark writes "Oh, Nintendo, what the hell happened to you? There is no doubt that Nintendos handheld market is doing well with the 3DS, its Wii U console on the other hand might as well be in a coma for all the good it is doing the company. In the first eleven months of being out the Wii U had only sold 3,667,904 units. The Wii on the other hand sold 13,479,686 units in its first eleven months. Do you know why there is such a big gap between the two? Nintendo has always sold its consoles based on their iconic series of games; Zelda, Mario, Smash Brothers, Metroid. Even though the Wii U had a larger launch lineup than the Wii, thanks largely to games that were out on other systems months before, it did not have that one game that everybody wanted to play."

Interview: BetaDwarf On Humble Beginnings, FORCED on the Wii U eShop and Working with Nintendo

Added: 19.10.2013 23:17 | 16 views | 0 comments

By Thomas Whitehead Earlier this year Nintendo of Europe released a Wii U eShop sizzle reel of upcoming games, some of which were seen for the first time in that Nintendo Direct broadcast. One of the many games given a few seconds to shine was FORCED from BetaDwarf (a studio based in Copenhagen, Denmark), an arena brawler with a top-down viewpoint that, though playable in single player, is best suited to co-op. It left a positive early impression, however, and we (NintendoLife) took the opportunity to speak to BetaDwarf's Steffen Grønning, who is the CEO and Game Director of the company.

By Thomas Whitehead Neko Entertainment is a publisher / developer that's already appeared on the Wii U eShop with Kung Fu Rabbit, a platformer that we rated rather highly. The company is also bringing Upper Byte's Wooden Sen'SeY to the system, an action platformer that's previously been released on PC and Mac. Nintendo has now published a trailer for this title on its official YouTube channel, which is surely a boost for the publisher and developer. It gives us a better look at the new release, so check it out below.
