Galak-Z: The Dimensional (PlayStation 4) review | Honest Gamers

Added: 07.09.2015 10:17 | 1 views | 0 comments

HG: Equal parts infuriating and engrossing, Galak-Z is one of the most confusing games I've ever played. You play as A-Tak, an inexperienced pilot who becomes the only hope to defeating The Baron's imperial army. What stands out immediately about the game is its structure. The game is presented like a long-lost piece of anime from the 1970s, with the story told over the course of four seasons.

What Gamers Want for the Week of 9-7-15: New Video Game Releases

Added: 07.09.2015 2:19 | 19 views | 0 comments

EB: Consider this week a slight break in the fall AAA video game release rush for 2015, but dont write it off as a bad week of releases altogether, because there are still a few worth looking into. The most notable new video game release is definitely Super Mario Maker for the Wii U, which ships on the 11th. Although, both Tearaway Unfolded and Lovers in a Dangerous Space Time are two titles to consider as well, not to mention Dropsy may be worth experiencing too. You can also try a few titles on new platforms, or even a remaster of Castle Crashers for the Xbox One.

BiT Evolution Review | NGN

NGN: What was once old is new again. At least, this seems to be the case in the modern era of gaming. As the industry continues to push the technological boundaries of graphics, horsepower, and scope, many developers and gamers alike are backpedalling a bit, and rediscovering a certain nostalgic charm many classic games of the 70s, 80s, and 90s held. It is a charm that many modern games cannot seem to recapture. This has given rise to a renaissance of modern games that take on a retro graphical and gameplay style.

NL Preview: Getting Inside The Curiously Undemanding World Of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer

Added: 07.09.2015 1:17 | 59 views | 0 comments

NL: Animal Crossing: New Leaf is one of those titles which has been instrumental in selling the Nintendo 3DS to the wider gaming public. When it launched in the west back in 2013 it appeared to trigger a rush of interest in Nintendo's portable system, and everyone seemed to be talking about it - sharing their experiences, visiting each other's towns and generally getting lost in the game's addictive charm. It should therefore come as no surprise that Nintendo is double-dipping with the series for the first time in a single hardware generation, but Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is clearly a long way off being a proper sequel - as we pointed out in our First Impressions piece a while back, it's really a spin-off more than anything.
