| Styx: Master of Shadows Review | Front Towards Gamer

Its been a tough time for newly released stealth games as of late. Youll be hard pressed to read reviews that dont compare these games to Assassins Creed, or at least pick out specific elements and abruptly state Assassins Creed already did it. Which is why I was pleased to find that Styx: Master of Shadows had a few tricks up its sleeve that hadnt yet been thoroughly overdone.

| Put Your Nostalgia Goggles On For The Retro-Core Super Win The Game

Siliconera:
"Minor Key Games has released its retro-core exploration platformer Super Win The Game on Steam for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Its the commercial follow-up to the freeware You Have To Win The Game, which was considered by some to be the best free platformer of 2012. Minor Key claims that Super Win The Game is more of the same, but it has a bigger world with more secrets to find.
Its a simple, 8-bit game that will probably dismantle those sweet, heart-swelling bouts of nostalgia you have when looking at it due to its tougher sections. Dont expect an easy ride. Youll have to find you way around a mysterious world, collecting power-ups, gaining new abilities, and dying and dying and dying."

| Whats the Scariest Game Youve Ever Played?
Added: 06.10.2014 9:12 | 15 views | 0 comments
For horror fans, October is a month-long celebration of all things horror. Its 31 straight days of scary movie marathons, staying up as late playing horror games, telling ghost stories, visiting haunted houses, and testing local urban legends.
Its an endless stream of all things fun and scary that leads up to one very special night of the year where old friends garbed in pitch black robes meet in empty cemeteries to continue ancient traditions of sacrificing innocents to appease the Old Ones, lest they return to unleash 10,000 years of hell on Earth.

| Hyrule Warriors (Wii U) Game Review on Popzara
Added: 04.10.2014 19:13 | 6 views | 0 comments
Hyrule Warriors is pretty much exactly what it sounds like: you take control of various characters from Nintendos Legend of Zelda franchise and use them to wreck the faces of many, many monsters. Youll do this with an arsenal of incredibly devastating attacks and weaponry, slaying dozens of enemies per combo and racking up insane kill counts. Its a Warriors game, in other words. Whats surprising is how well the formula works with in the context of the Legend of Zelda, which has traditionally been focused on methodical puzzle-solving rather than combat. The injection of a little more action into the mix is just what the (slightly aging and creaky) Zelda franchise needed to shake things up a little.

GoodGameBro writes, "Ive always been a huge fan of FIFAs Career Mode. The great thing about European football, and FIFA, is that there are thousands of players and hundreds of teams available to scout and find new talent. In FIFA 15, no matter if you start out with a Championship team like Ipswich Town or a financial mogul like PSG, there are always new players stacked with potential to find in Career Mode.
Here at GoodGameBro, I took some time (10 seasons in total, and tons of hours of research) to find the best hidden, and some not-so-hidden, gems in FIFA 15s Career Mode."

| Kissing vs. killing: How Shadow of Mordor fails at explaining the difference
Added: 03.10.2014 17:12 | 6 views | 0 comments
Polygon: Yesterday morning I found myself trying to play Shadow of Mordor. I look forward to playing more today, but yesterday I didnt get much further than the tutorial before putting the game down to share some feelings. Theres a basic design mistake right at the start.
One of the very first things you do in the game, following a brief sword-fight with your son and some Uruks, is kiss your wife. This isnt an ordinary kiss, its actually a tutorial for how to sneak up on someone and murder them that much is immediately clear from the controls, even before you actually kill Uruks moments later.
Youre learning a skill that will later be used almost exclusively in combat.
