Prior to the official announcement of a new Dark Souls, it was unclear whether Miyazaki would be involved with the Bloodborne expansion. Or if, as the rumour suggested, he had moved on to a new project.
As of yet, Miyazaki's involvement has not yet been clarified. The Dark Souls 3 trailer shown at Microsoft's E3 press conference did not mention Miyazaki, or say anything to the effect of "from the creator of the original Dark Souls."
EA Sports is offering a "special item" to all its FIFA 15 Ultimate Team players, which appears to be a free card of either Messi or Pele.
Both football icons are considered extremely difficult cards to collect on Ultimate Team, but during EA's 2015 press conference, the corporation said existing customers would be given a "special item." As this pledge was made, a picture of both Messi and Pele cards were displayed.
The Ultimate Team bonus content was unveiled after Electronic Arts showcased its latest edition of FIFA, with the focus this year said to be based on balancing the game with more defensive options.
At last, Star Wars: The Old Republic will be gaining a story-based expansion.
BioWare announced the expansion, which is called Knights of the Fallen Empire, on the stage of their E3 2015 press conference. BioWare stated that the expansion will feature the hallmarks of previous BioWare games, such as dialogue choices that shape your personal story as well as the world around you.
Knights of the Fallen Empire will feature new explorable worlds, a new enemy faction, and new companions. An accompanying trailer depicted a troubled history between two apparent twin brothers, representing the dark and light sides of The Force.
Star Wars: The Old Republic - Knights of the Fallen Empire is scheduled to be released on October 27, 2015, and will be free to all SWTOR subscribers.
Mirror's Edge Catalyst will launch on February 23, 2016, EA announced today in a trailer revealed during its E3 press conference.
Watch the trailer before for a -depth preview of what the game looks like now.
The next Mirror's Edge, simply touted as a prequel, was first revealed at but has noted developer DICE has done a slash and burn on the original story. Based on the above trailer, it does feel like the game's narrative is getting a full reboot.
And secondly, the legwork needed to deliver a version of the women’s game EA felt happy with has improved the game as a whole. Player model scaling used to be linear, which means every part of the body was increased the same amount in order to recreate players of different sizes. Getting women’s bodies to look authentic meant designing a more sophisticated system, with the side-effect that some more outlandish specimens in the men’s game--Channon picks out Peter Crouch and Ade Akinfenwa-- are accurately modelled for the first time. There’s a similar story for modelling long hair too. You’re welcome, Ibra.
What does all this mean? That the early signs are good, at least in terms of the core gameplay. There’s already more change and improvement going on here than we saw in a finished FIFA 15, and the women’s game is a long-due addition being handled with precise attention to detail. Most of the stuff I hated, and you probably hated too, is on the way out. True, UItimate Team plays such a central role in FIFA’s longevity these days that excitement should be tempered until we know more about EA’s plans are there, but for now--cautious optimism is permitted.
You can play as Luke Skywalker in the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront, EA announced today.
While you typically will play as a member of the Rebel Alliance or as a Stormtrooper, Battlefront occasionally offers players the chance to assume the role of hero characters. Skywalker is one of these, joining previously announced heroes like Darth Vader and Boba Fett.
As Luke, you can use Force Pushes and Saber Rushes; you'll also move faster than other characters and can deflect blaster shots with your lightsaber.

Microsoft today revealed a brand-new Gears of War, Gears of War 4, that is coming to Xbox One during holiday 2016.
The game was shown off using the first-ever gameplay footage, which feature two seemingly brand-new characters. A number of elements from previous Gears appear to be returning, including gun-mounted chainsaws and the style of sprinting seeing in previous games.
The demo moved from an outdoor environment where a storm was hitting to an indoor area with very limited lighting. The two characters--one a woman, and one a man whose perspective the demo was shown from--then began fighting a variety of monsters that don't appear to be resemble those seen in past games. In the process, we get to see the Gnasher Shotgun, Lancer, and the chainsaw all used.
While the game undoubtedly looked much better than any past Gears title, there didn't appear to be much new on display; the core gameplay seems largely unchanged, at least based on what we saw this morning. While it's somewhat disappointing that any new elements Gears 4 offers weren't featured in the video, we are still roughly a year and a half away from its launch. In other words, there isn't necessarily any reason for Gears fans hoping for some new wrinkles to panic.
