Xenonauts (SteamFirst Review) -Retcom

Added: 23.11.2014 20:11 | 30 views | 0 comments

SteamFirst: A few years ago, Firaxis gave us a treat: a true, full-fledged X-Com. It was a true breath of fresh air. Well, that is if you consider inhaling the vaporized remnants of your fallen soldiers fresh. Nonetheless, X-Com:Enemy Unknown was a remarkable installment that reinvigorated the turn based strategy genre for more than the niche market it typically serves. (Not counting the Civilization series, which is an a beast of its own.) For all the fancy bells and whistles, some of us found the overworld game lacking. The turn by turn tactical decisions that the player can make were brilliant. Unfortunately, it was not a true X-Com when one factors in the overworld gameplay. Goldhawk Interactives Xenonauts fills that void.

Added: 23.11.2014 13:11 | 11 views | 0 comments

Civilization Online has been in a sort of limbo for a while now. Its already well into its closed beta phase, but only in Korea without any word of a Western release. There hasnt even been any official word of a proper launch date or pricing. However, if the two newest trailers released for the game are any indication, the game is at least moving along quite well in its development cycle.

Natural Doctrine Review - Made For Gaming

Added: 20.11.2014 11:12 | 5 views | 0 comments

David writes: "Most gamers prefer their strategy games on PC, and therefore popular franchise such as Sid Meiers Civilization and Total War are improbable to be released on consoles. Natural Doctrine is a different example as it was designed especially for Sonys PlayStation devices maybe because the devs are Japanese and we all know how poor PC sales are in this region."

Never Alone Review | WGTC

Eric from We Got This Covered wrote: Its not often that playing a video game turns into a history lesson. Sure, there are titles such as Civilization and Age of Empires out there, but I would certainly never go to either of them in order to explain a moment of historical significance. Im not going to count edutainment titles either, as that nickname usually refers to games that are educational, but generally not fun to play. Enter Never Alone, the debut effort from Upper One Games. Based around indigenous Alaskan stories, the title was commissioned by the Cook Inlet Tribal Council in order to educate audiences about the Iñupiat. Rather than let their culture fall to the wayside, the Iñupiat have embraced the modern age of technology in order to tell their tale.

Assassins Creed Unity Review by Ryan Martinez

Added: 17.11.2014 0:11 | 9 views | 0 comments

Easily one of the most exciting aspects about Assassins Creed Unity is its story setting. Assassins Creed is famous for its historical setting putting players into famous historical time periods. Unity drops them dead center into the French Revolution. One of the biggest turning points in Western Civilization where for the first time a monarchy was over thrown. A perfect setting for an order of assassins who fight for freedom.
