By giving Xbox One its mandatory early visual powerhouse despite all the doomsaying about the hardwares horsepower Ryse was arguably the consoles most important launch title. It disrupted the narrative, leaving many players clueless as to what the platform can really achieve. Its certainly hard to imagine more on day one in terms of presentation and ensemble performance capture. GotGame: Ryse is a game that boasts some of the best graphics weve ever seen on a console and has a really cool story to match, but stops just shy of being a great game. Thats not to say its not recommended to check out, but a part of me wishes it just had a little bit more to offer. Ultimately, the game is a good start for Crytek on next-gen and I cant wait to see what comes next.
