Dyscourse Review | Softpedia

SP: Dyscourse is an indie choose-your-own adventure game about a group of people trying to survive on a remote island, after having suffered a plane crash. The game came after a modest Kickstarter campaign, so as usual with these types of products, I had little expectations from it. However, it managed to win me over through its tense decision making, personality, and vivid art style.

Greg Micek writes: "Every week we take a brief look at all of the Kickstarter campaigns that launched in the previous week. This isn't to say that all of these projects are worth your hard earned cash, but with any luck having all of them in one place will make it easier to educate yourself on the projects you'd like to back, and which ones to run from. This week there were 40 to choose from."

Satellite Reign - PC Preview | Chalgyr's Game Room

Added: 10.04.2015 14:17 | 13 views | 0 comments

Chalgyr's Game Room writes: Cyperpunk settings have always held a special place in my heart and frankly there are far to few games set in this dark and gritty sci-fi setting. Fortunately though, the recent success of titles like Shadowrun or the older Deus Ex titles, have kept gamers sated these last few years by having some excellent releases. Enter in the development studio 5 Lives Studios, a small studio (talking less than 10 people) that had a fantastic Kickstarter campaign back in 2013. Fast forward to early 2015 and Satellite Reign is now available on Steam Early Access for gamers to get in and experience a new world. As a class-based real-time strategy game, you will be tossed into a dark and gritty cyberpunk city where you have not only the tools, but the freedom to play how you want to play. You will battle for control of this living, breathing cyberpunk city, against the mega-corporations that control the world's governments. We were fortunate to get our hands on an...

Solar Crusaders Offering Up 4X Deep Space Goodness

Added: 09.04.2015 19:17 | 4 views | 0 comments

Marcus Estrada writes: "Holy heck are there are a lot of space sim games out there! When you look at the list of crowdfunded ones alone it's pretty staggering with massive titles such as Elite: Dangerous and Star Citizen. And somehow, despite the massive amount of competition, each game brings something different to the table. Solar Crusaders is the latest 4X/strategy title on Kickstarter which features a lot of the key things fans are looking for: vast universe, tactical real-time skirmishes, and a multiplayer world."

Adorable, Chaotic, and Deadly, It's Bowbarian - Cliqist

Added: 09.04.2015 18:17 | 4 views | 0 comments

Marcus Estrada writes: "A Kickstarter campaign by the name of Bowbarian just launched and, if you're anything like me, you probably had the thought "what the heck is a bowbarian?" Well, after investigating the campaign I'm here to inform you! In the action game Bowbarian you play as a hulking man with loincloth named Bowbarian. Instead of fighting with more typical barbarian fare, this fellow lives up to his namesake with a bow and arrow. Well, sometimes the "arrows" might actually be swords, but that's beside the point. This is a fast-paced arcade action game in the vein of Robotron 2084 but with a cartoony coat of paint."
