Reviewer Nicholas Simonovski writes, "There are a few things in life which make me feel stupid. When a friend makes a joke, as an example, and I dont get the reference. Another one is Luigis Mansion 2.
"I can still remember the day I first started playing the original Luigis Mansion. I had purchased a Nintendo GameCube with my parents earlier that day as a birthday present and for the next couple of weeks, it was the only game I played. It was good to see a game focusing on the other Mario brother for once, and it was a ton of fun. Its just that this time around, I dont quite think Ive been enjoying it quite as much."

| TR - Luigi's Mansion 2: Dark Moon Review

TR - Poor Luigi has always had to play second-fiddle to you-know-who. Even when he had a chance at his own starring role, 2002s Gamecube launch title, Luigis Mansion, he had his moment in the spotlight spoilt by the brevity of a brilliant but underdeveloped adventure. Now all he can hope for is a supporting part in the next New Super Mario Bros or Mario Kart, or maybe a co-star role in another Super Mario RPG. What does a guy have to do to step out from his brothers shadow?

| Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon 3DS Review | Negative World

Andrew N from Negative World says: "The original Luigis Mansion was, I believe, the first game that I saw images of for the Nintendo Gamecube. Because this was during a dark age before I discovered video game websites, I didnt really follow the game closely, and for one reason or another I assumed that it was basically just a Mario platformer, but starring Luigi in a mansion for some inexplicable reason. That seemed neat enough to me. Yet that it was not; Luigis Mansion was a different beast entirely. The game released to decent but not amazing reviews, I skipped over it at launch, and when I finally played it a half a year later, my impression of the game was that the reviews were pretty accurate. It was fun for what it was, but it did not stick with me in any lasting way."

This week the team has been playing Luigi's Mansion 2, Battlefield 3 and Guacamelee!.
I've found Luigi's Mansion 2 to be a bit of a grower. After initially being really excited to finally be playing a sequel to the brilliant GameCube launch title, the opening hour or so felt a bit flat. Now I've got a few upgrades to the basic starting kit and I'm having a lot of fun exploring and finding various hidden items. The ghost hunting is going up a notch, too, with new types requiring more than just a blast of light and a quick fight with my hoover. Having not really done much with my 3DS for a while, though, I am suffering slighting from "Shoulder Button Cramp" due to the awkward...

| Find Your Inner Geek Game Review: Luigi's Mansion - Dark Moon

Back in 2001 and the days of the GameCube, Luigis Mansion was surely not, at first glance, the revelatory launch title that people were hoping for on the eve of Nintendos newest console launch. Where was Mario? Where was Zelda? Super Smash Bros. Melee was delayed to launch window, and lo and behold, a ghost-hunting game starring Marios taller, albeit comically inclined doofus brother was introduced. And yet, for the oddity that it was, Luigis Mansion was a Nintendo experience unlike any other. Humorous, charming, with fantastic (at the time) lighting, effects, and a creepy yet fun atmosphere surrounding the titular mansion, Luigis Mansion was an effectively next-gen title that showcased the power of Nintendos little purple lunchboxerrconsole.

| Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon Review [Capsule Computers]
Added: 09.04.2013 10:18 | 7 views | 0 comments
Dustin Spencer from Capsule Computers writes: "Luigi has been around for nearly as long as Mario, playing second fiddle to his famed brother. Over ten years ago, Luigi got his time to shine in Luigi's Mansion (I don't count Mario is Missing, if you're wondering). The game is to this day considered to be one of the strongest titles that hit the platform, and has garnered a hungry following that have begged for more for years. That day to feast has come, Luigi fans. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is everything we could have asked for in a sequel, with five mansions to explore, a brand new multiplayer mode, and all of the charms of the original. The question is, can this shunned brother prove himself on a new platform, or does this follow-up prove to be too late to the party?"

The lesser known of the two Italian brothers takes the spotlight as the green-overalled one steps out of the (rather large) shadow of his red-overalled sibling to adventure solo in Luigi's Mansion 2 (also known Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon). In this latest 3DS experience, Luigi will make his way through several ghost infested locales, solving puzzles and battling spirits with little more than a vacuum cleaner and a flashlight.
