The Co-op Podcast #130: Sony Has Leveled the Playing Field

Added: 17.08.2015 19:18 | 65 views | 0 comments

Gary Swaby at The Koalition writes: Welcome to another episode of The Co-op Podcast. This week were joined by fellow Koalition staffers Tony Polanco and Charles Singletary Jr. Sony has struck an awesome deal with Disney that will see the launch of an excellent Dark Vader themed PS4 bundle with controller, a copy of Star Wars Battlefront and a list of previous Star Wars titles that will be available to be played on the system. With a deal like this, could Sony have leveled the playing field this Fall despite not having a solid first-party lineup? We also discussed Phil Spencers comments about possibly releasing Quantum Break, Scalebound and Crackdown 3 on PC. With Xbox titles like those launching on PC, does a PC gamer even need to pick up an Xbox One system?

Gary Swaby at The Koalition writes: God of War III was a big hit back in 2010, and it did a lot to boost the PlayStations reputation. For its time it was a technical feat, achieving things we hadnt seen before at that point. While the story is the weakest of the original trilogy, and the ending met with mixed reactions, the gameplay in God of War III is the main draw. Now, confusingly for some, God of War III has been remastered for the PlayStation 4. This presents a lot of opportunities to make what was already considered a masterpiece even better.
