E3 2015 will take place on June 16-18 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the ESA has announced.
"The video game industry's explosive growth and technological innovation were front and centre at E3 2014," said Michael D. Gallagher, president and CEO of ESA. "Video games are the most innovative and engaging force driving our culture and entertainment experiences the world over. Congratulations to our incredibly creative members, partners, exhibitors, and the hundreds of millions of gamers who engaged with the show online and through social media."
Phil Spencer offers his thoughts on one of his favourite weeks of the year.
"I thought I'd share a few quick thoughts on the week. It's always one of my favourite weeks of the year and this E3 was incredibly special," wrote Spencer. Those who don't own the game must download a sizeable app which contains all game content with the story missions removed.
PlayStation gamers will receive a set of "Keys to Kyrat," which open up the entire game world of Kyrat to any of their PSN friends, even if they don’t yet have a copy of the game.
Ubisoft and Sony are able to offer this functionality via a pretty sizeable download for those who don't own the game – essentially installing the entire game world on their console, but with all the story missions removed. It's a lot like 3DS download play, but with a heftier client download.
