Though a true open-world is a new direction for CD Projekt, fans will feel right at home with The Witcher 3
I asked Piotr Krzywonosiuk, The Witcher 3's lead producer, why this change has come now, three games into the franchise. “With The Witcher 1 & 2, we improved our storytelling skills - we know we can tell a wonderful, great, immersive story”, he tells me. “We wanted to take it to the next level. We got lucky with the new consoles arriving, so we were able to improve our engine. So it was a combination of those two things - that we have mastered the storytelling, and the opportunity that came from the generation shift.”
'We'll flesh out the details as soon as we can,' says PlayStation UK boss.
Asked whether the PS4 version could receive exclusive content or a hardware bundle similar to deals with Activision on Destiny and Ubisoft on Watch Dogs, PlayStation UK boss Fergal Gara said:
"There's lots of conversations going on but there's nothing to reveal at this stage. Obviously it's an incredible franchise and we're delighted to be working with Rockstar. We'll flesh out the details as soon as we can."
Sony previously worked with Rockstar on a PS3 GTA 5 hardware bundle, which launched alongside the game last September.
As with last year, The Division was hands-off at Ubisoft's behind closed doors showcase. Unlike last year, we actually got a look at how it really plays.
Pretty well, it turns out.
The team showed us the rolling demo that played at Microsoft's conference again, depicting three Division agents navigating the grisly, impromptu morgue of the subway before getting into a firefight topside with some rival humans. After that, the devs then showed off that skirmish again at night, to highlight the differences in potential playstyles and how the world reacts to different times of day.
teresting than that however, even above the superb environmental detail - smoke plumes out of the subway, abandoned police lights cast...

Final Fantasy Agito also heading to Western markets on iOS and Android devices.
"I would like to start this out by thanking everyone who let us know how badly you wanted this game," commented Sakura Minamida, senior manager, product marketing at Square Enix. "Ever since the original PlayStation Portable release in Japan, you guys have never given up on it, raising your voices in an effort to see this title come to North America and Europe. Well, I'm here to tell you that it's coming and it's going to be in HD. Stay tuned for more details in the future."

Mysterious Cards pop up on the Steam Store, suggesting Summer Sale is on the way.
These mysterious cards are faded out for now, but there are 10 in the series, along with a badge worth 100XP, presumably for collecting all of the cards.
An image was recently leaked via Reddit, suggesting that developers had to submit their spreadsheets for the Summer Sale by June 13 at the latest.
Hopefully we don't have long to wait before the big sale kicks off and can start grabbing great games at bargain prices.
