A very different business framework to PS3, says Kaz Hirai.
Speaking during Sony's Corporate Strategy Meeting FY14, Hirai said: "From a profitability perspective, PS4 is also already contributing profit on a hardware unit basis, establishing a very different business framework from that of previous platform businesses."
Hirai was referring to the huge losses Sony endured during the early years of the PS3. It had been expected that Sony would take a loss on PS4 console sales for some time longer, having revealed back in September that a profit would only be made once the customer also bought PS Plus and some games.

New gameplay footage of PS4 shooter The Order: 1886 will be revealed at 9:00pm BST tonight, Sony has teased.
Don't expect to see too much of the game in action, though. Sony says that the footage will offer a "sneak peek at new gameplay", adding "blink and you'll miss it".
The footage is expected to be revealed on Sony's Twitch channel, which you can catch above.
The FIFA World Cup Kick Off mode will introduce all 32 national teams competing in the tournament, plus the official match ball. This means you'll be able to play friendly matches, but no official tournament mode will be included.
