To put that another way, of the 781 million games registered to Steam, the data reveals that only 493 million have been played. A further 17 per cent of titles have been played for less than one hour.
24.6 per cent of games have been played for between 1 and 10 hours.
Unsurprisingly, Dota 2 is the most owned game on Steam with 25.93 million installs. It's Football Manager 2014, however, which is top of the most-played per user. It also appears that fans of Farming Simulator 2013 and Mount & Blade: Warband sink a lot of hours into the titles.

It wasn't quite right before the extra development time, says animation director Colin Graham.
"We animated Aiden's thumb movements so he's better at hacking," Graham explained. "For example, when he hacks a tower, you'll see he clicks on the screen properly with his thumb. We didn't have that quite right before."
Nimble fingers aren't the only piece of impressive animation you'll find in Watch Dogs, which Graham says is possible on the new generation systems because of the increase in memory availability.
