The action-heavy RTS is set in a war-torn future where powerful weapons known as AirMechs dominate the battlefields in the fight for resources. Players command giant transforming robots and capture and protect bases while building armies to fight waves of enemies.
"As an indie developer, AirMech has been our passion for the past several years, and we are thrilled to partner with Ubisoft to bring the game to console," said James Green of Carbon Games. "AirMech Arena was created from the ground up to be the ultimate RTS experience with a gamepad. The fast-paced action and depth...
New Borderlands in development at 2K Australia, report suggests.
The retailer's report suggests that the game could be titled 'Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel' and be in development at 2K Australia, a studio that has previously collaborated with Irrational Games on BioShock Infinite.
According to GamePointsNow, the new game is set between the events of Borderlands 1 and 2 "on the moon of Elpis and Hyperion's ominous H shaped moon base", and allegedly tells the story of Borderlands 2 villain Handsome Jack when he was a still a "humble programmer called John".
The game will reportedly see players able to play as one of four characters,...
Major update introduces ShadowPlay desktop capture, advanced Twitch streaming and more.
Version 2.0 introduces ShadowPlay desktop capture, advanced Twitch streaming controls, ShadowPlay for notebooks, and SHIELD GameStream support for notebooks.
The big news is that users can now capture video of any game in Windows thanks to new features of ShadowPlay. Footage can be recorded or streamed from windowed games, borderless windowed games, and from the desktop itself.
Desktop capture also enables the recording of OpenGL, Java, and web-based games in windowed mode, borderless windowed mode, and borderless fullscreen mode. This means that users should have no...
As much as Kinect is designed to get us off our sofas, the sports that demand little are actually the best. Rock-climbing’s verticality means that players aren’t going to kill each other with wild arm flails as they desperately scramble for the win. Bowling’s patient, methodical approach is nice, bringing the improved accuracy of Kinect into play, as it is in the shooting. Wake racing remains the best of the bunch, as many will have experienced in the pre-season offering at the Xbox One’s launch.
If developers understand the limits of the peripheral, then it is a solid...
"I believe that it is officially on the cards," Henry Jackman told Collider when asked about the chances of seeing a Wreck-It Ralph sequel. "I don't know any more other than a story is indeed being written."
Jackman went of to lavish praise on the first movie.
"The movie itself I thought was a fantastically imaginative and creative piece of work. Rich [Moore], the director, actually got involved in the writing."
He concluded: "It would be almost remiss of them not to write another one. It's a great idea and it's a great character."
Elder Scrolls Online launched for PC only with Xbox One and PS4 versions to follow, and given that many gamers will have opted to buy digitally a No.2 place doesn't seem too bad.
FIFA 14 has now achieved a total of 11 weeks at No.1, a feat only managed by four other titles: Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Wii Fit, Zumba Fitness and FIFA: Road to the World Cup 98. The game has also remained in the Top 6 since it launched 28 weeks ago.
Elsewhere Titanfall holds at No.3, Call of Duty: Ghosts climbs to No.4, and Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes drops three places to No.5....
The eight-episode series will be produced by Kudos – the firm behind The Hour, Utopia, Broadchurch and The Tunnel - and will broadcast in 2015 on Channel 4 in the UK and via Xbox in North America.
Humans is set in a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a 'Synth' - a robotic servant so similar to a real human that it's transforming the way we live. When a rushed-off-his-feet suburban father of three buys a refurbished second-hand Synth, he hopes it will relieve some domestic pressure and paper over the cracks of his marriage. But sharing...
The videos, posted on AllGamesBeta, show off the game's training section and the first mission of the campaign, and offer a glimpse at what to expect from the performance of the last-gen version.
Bluepoint confirmed last week that the Xbox 360 version "runs above 30fps" – somewhat below the Xbox One's 60fps target - with previous rumours also suggesting that it could run at a sub-HD resolution. It's difficult to tell from the videos whether that's the case or not.
Titanfall launches on Xbox 360 tomorrow, April 8, in North America and in the UK this...

Everyone played Goat Simulator pretty much. Great...
Obviously the Captain America movie tie-in game on iOS is crap. You probably didn't even need me to tell you that, but in case you'd like to know how crap it is, you can read about it here.
As I did plough my way through it for a few hours, though, I thought I may as well moan about the differing qualities between mobile games at the minute. Everyone is aware of the Candy Crush Saga runaway success train, and if people want to go as nuts as they do with it then more power to them. But if all we're going to get is that and Captain Pap then it's very upsetting.
Bluepoint discusses technical differences between Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions.
"Titanfall on the Xbox 360 is the true experience: all the maps, modes, pilots, titans, weapons, burn cards, you name it, found in the Xbox One and PC versions," explained senior producer Daryl Allison.
"The game looks great, sounds great, and above all it plays great. There are of course some technical differences that are due to the technical limitations of the hardware – for example, the game runs above 30fps - but rest assured, the intense 6v6 wall-running, titan dropping action is all there."
By comparison, the Xbox One version targets 60 frames per second.
Original aim for the title was to sell one million.
"It is pretty amazing!" commented Mojang's Daniel Kaplan. "I remember when we started talking about sales numbers that we would be super happy to sell 1 million copies. That would have put us on par with BF1943 and Castle Crashers, which both are awesome games, so that was something to aim for. We never even dreamed of selling 12 million!"
Next up for the Xbox 360 version is the Candy Texture Pack on April 18.
Sadly Kaplan didn't have any new information on the Xbox One edition, telling Xbox Wire: "It is coming, eventually!"
