The release of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is just a few months away, and Ubisoft has released a new trailer in anticipation of the upcoming release. This time, the GIGN gets its time in the spotlight.
We've got our hands on a batch of codes (500, in fact!) for Skyforge, a new free-to-play action-MMORPG by Obsidian Entertainment and Allods Team, and they're not just any codes. They're Founder's Pack Early Access codes worth $19.99 a pop.
Yes, the main Baldur's Gate games are over a decade old, but that isn't stopping developer Beamdog from adding new content to Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition.
Earlier today Beamdog revealed Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, a brand new expansion for the RPG franchise. It takes place between the first two games and adds approximately 25 hours of gameplay.
Capcom continues to slowly expand its character roster for Street Fighter V, and the latest addition is Ken. It's not surprising to see him show up for the upcoming series entry, but he looks a bit different.
Developer CD Projekt RED continues to tweak The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in an effort to improve the overall experience and fix both major and minor bugs. The latest evidence is patch 1.07, an upcoming update which introduces some important changes.
The fourth act to Grinding Gear Games' Path of Exile, which in my estimation is one of the best free-to-play games that elevates classic Diablo gameplay, will finally be releasing today at noon by way of Awakening.
Just days ago Lizard Squad member Julius Kivimaki was convicted of over 50,000 computer crimes related to DDoS attacks against video game services, most notably the violent attacks that made headlines during the 2014 Christmas season. Despite his crimes, he was served a two-year suspended sentence by the Finnish justice system. This didn't bode well for many of those who have been financially and/or personally affected by these attacks.
Final Fantasy XIV producer Naoki Yoshida just wrapped up his 23rd Letter from the Producer Live. This is the first showing to occur after the debut of Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, making it a particularly interesting live stream where common questions and concerns were addressed directly by a senior member of the development team.
Gears of War Ultimate Edition is releasing later this year, providing Xbox One gamers with the opportunity to relive the Xbox 360 classic with prettier visuals and overall better performance. But why just the first game and not the later entries in the series, you ask?
While Devil's Third is set to release in both Japan and Europe next month, Valhalla Game Studios' mature-rated Wii U exclusive still doesn't have a North American launch date. What is even more puzzling, is that E3 2015 came and went with no mention of the title from NoA at all.
Microsoft has a big presence at San Diego Comic-Con this week. Not only does it have a variety of titles available for attendees to play on the show floor, but it's running a tournament each day where gamers can face off in Forza Motorsport 5, Killer Instinct, or Mortal Kombat X for a chance to spin a prize wheel containing a variety of high-value items. Just a few hours into the show one gamer hit the jackpot.
At its Comic-Con panel on Call of Duty Black Ops III's Zombies mode, which had an outdoor Escape Room experience that GR's Jeb Haught attended, Activision unveiled three special editions for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops III.
Despite reports that the Xbox One is closing the gap with the PlayStation 4, at least one publisher has revealed that this gap may take years for Microsoft to overcome.
Ubisoft, during a investor conference call according to Gamespot, has provided software revenue figures which show that, from April to June this year, the percentage of PS4 sales (27%) has been larger than both Xbox One sales (11%) and Xbox 360 sales (13%) combined.
Unfortunately, this also means the gaming audience for Xbox 360 has yet to eclipse the audience for Xbox One, adding to the pile of evidence for third-party publishers that the PS4 is the preferred platform. As more third-party publishers announce Sony-exclusive deals, timed or otherwise, like Capcom's Street Fighter V console exclusivity on PS4.
Platinum Games just finished its panel at San Diego Comic-Con where attendees were treated to a brand-new trailer of Transformers: Devastation.
Transformers: Devastation is a cell-shaded game being developed for many platforms. It'll allow you to take control of Autobots such as Optimus Prime and Bumblebee as they combat Decepticon forces. Unlike the laundry list of Transformers games of years past, this title is being made by a studio with a strong track record, especially when it comes to gameplay. This latest trailer shows that Transformers: Devastation will incorporate the smooth combat that made games such as Vanquish and Bayonetta stand out.
One of the most impressive games shown at E3 last month was Horizon: Zero Dawn, a brand new IP from Killzone developer Guerrilla Games. The E3 presentation focused on stealth and action, but there's a whole lot more to Horizon.
Treyarch added the infamous Zombies mode to their CoD: Modern Warfare series on a whim, but it paid off big! Thanks to immense popularity, what once was a simplistic zombie-slaying mission has now turned into a complex mini-game complete with unusual characters, a retro environment, and of course, legions of zombies. In Call of Duty: Black Ops III, zombies are under the control of a malevolent mastermind in a nostalgic noir storyline that's completely separate from the main game.
For quite some time now, IÄ‚Ë€â„Ëve been looking for Nintendo to deliver a side-scrolling platformer that would make me feel the same way as I did when I first played Super Mario World. The have proven are still possible to make within the once mighty genre. TheyÄ‚Ë€â„Ëve felt too regressive, overly fond of making nods to MarioÄ‚Ë€â„Ës past rather than moving forwards with the boldness that the 3D Mario games have, and more concerned with reminding us how much we loved the original games than giving us something new to adore.
Just Cause 3 comes out at the end of the year, and I'm sure plenty of people are ready to fly around the environment with a virtual grappling hook. But can I interest you in a real-life grappling hook?
Mirror's Edge: Catalyst is just around the corner, and today EA announced that it will have a collector's edition available for those who fancy it. Priced at a staggering $199.99, it includes all the following:
Adult Faith/Young Faith diorama
Exclusive Steel book

This collector's edition is conventional in its content, offering nothing out of the ordinary. If you're a huge fan of the original and would like to have the statue for display, then this is a package built with you in-mind. However, its tremendously high price tag makes it difficult to recommend for any but the most die-hard of Mirror's Edge fans.
The Warcraft film finished filming during Fall 2014, and has been in post-production ever since. Judging by the enthusiasm showcased by its team over the past few months, it's safe to say that the film is in a healthy state that might meet the high expectations of fans of the IP. Made better, development is wrapping up ahead of schedule for the film's debut in 2016.
