Shigeru Miyamoto is best known for creating iconic Nintendo franchises such as Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Starfox, but he also assists in hardware development. For Nintendo's next console, the NX, he plans to shift his efforts away from the hardware.
Speaking at his own panel at MetroCon 2015, Nathan Drake voice actor Nolan North shared information he knows about both Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Visceral Games' upcoming Star Wars game.
Batman: Arkham Knight has been a bit of a disaster for PC users, and it looks like Rocksteady and Warner Bros. won't be able to remedy all the issues in the immediate future.
In a post on the WB Games' official forums, community admin Yorick explained: "Rocksteady is leading our team of developers and partners as we work on the PC performance issues that players have been encountering. The work is significant and while we are making good progress on improving performance, it will take some time to ensure that we get the right fixes in place."
While Super Mario 3D World is a gorgeous game, Nintendo's Wii U does have its limitations. As such, One aspiring animator named Aryok Pineral has recreated Nintendo's iconic mascot in Unreal Engine 4.
As of fourth quarter of 2014, the long-awaited Warcraft movie had wrapped up its filming phase. Since then and continuing into 2016 it will be in post-production where CGI is employed. Although it'll be a year until it hits theaters, we may be catching our first glimpse of what it looks like in motion as early as next month.
During our time at E3 2015, GameRevolution's Anthony LaBella got the chance to interview Batman: Arkham Knight developer Rocksteady Studios. Specifically, he spoke with Marketing Game Manager Guy Perkins, and we have it all on video!
The long-awaited conclusion to the Arkham series, Batman: Arkham Knight, has finally launched, and it seems the only person not playing it is Batman himself, considering that he bought the PC version for the Batcomputer. (Meanwhile, Robin is upstairs in Wayne Manor busting it out on his PS4.) While this wraps up the lauded series that started back with Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman and video games have coexisted for quite some time now... with varied results.
We had these racist asshole neighbors until like January. They hated the shit out of us, would never even acknowledge us or look at us when we said hello (or "konnichi-wa," as the case may be), or anything. We went to their door with Christmas cookies and a Happy New Year card, only to find the card and the cookies in our mailbox the next day. Yeah, they were assholes.
E3 2015 was one of the best E3 conventions in recent memory if just for the sheer number of amazing announcements during the press conferences: The Last Guardian, Fallout 4, Uncharted 4, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Gears of War 4, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Dark Souls III, Deus Ex: Mankind, the list goes on and on.
On the last day of E3, I managed a sit-down with Nick Yu from Comcept, the producer of Mighty No. 9. After playing and finally working my way through the very first boss—which took multiple continues that morning, and even more the previous day when I tried the game first—we sat down for a conversation about the game, the influences behind it, and laughed at how difficult the game can get. That is, even though I (and everyone else) was apparently playing on the lowest difficulty setting.
If you appreciate video game art like I do, then Final Fantasy XIV's works are something you should find tasteful. Drawn by Kazuya Takahashi, Yiroyuki Nagamine, Akihiko Yoshida, and various other talented artists, pieces related to the game are consistently mesmerizing.
One of the first things I did when Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward dropped last friday was try out its three new jobs. That led to me not only leveling Dark Knight to 54, but for the past few days I've been pushing Astrologian toward 60.

During that time I've been paying attention to not only how these jobs are performing in my groups, but also what members of the community are saying about them. The consensus is that they're three of the weakest jobs in the game. Let's go over why. Machinist: The Worst DPS in the Game
The Machinist is in the worst spot of any job in the game right now. It's intended to be a DPS (damage per second) job with a healthy amount of support. Unfortunately, its DPS output is the lowest in the game, with players wearing item level 180 gear reporting that it's somewhere around 300 to 400 less DPS than Dragoon and Monk, and noticeably lower than the comparatively support-oriented Bard.
The Batmobile plays a crucial role in Batman: Arkham Knight, for better or worse. The Dark Knight's trusty vehicle is used to travel around Gotham and take down enemy vehicles. It also appears in some unique Riddler challenges involving races and puzzles. Along the way players can put upgrade points into the Batmobile to upgrade its maneuverability and weapon capabilities. Listed below are the various moves/upgrades and some recommendations for first-time players.
Bethesda may not be holding a press conference at next year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, according to company boss Pete Hines.
"I don't know if we'll do one next year," Hines told the Telegraph in a recent interview. "I don't know if we'll do one again. This year felt like the right time to do this kind of thing.
Microsoft has unveiled its July lineup for Games With Gold, offering Xbox Live Gold subscribers some pretty sweet titles free of charge.
Not only will Xbox One owners be able to pick up Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, but from July 16 to mid-August, So Many Me will be free of charge as well. Better yet, from this point forward, Xbox One owners will get two new free games every month in addition to two free Xbox 360 games.
The Shenmue 3 Kickstarter has drawn controversy by two groups of people: people who know little about game publishing (and even less about Kickstarter), and those who want to cash in on ignorance to get easy clicks. I concede that some members of the former might be members of the latter, because being a member of the games press requires regrettably minimal qualification.
Meanwhile, genuine confusion has arisen for actual potential Shenmue 3 customers, who aren't sure what defines Yu Suzuki's exact "open world," and don't have a strong grasp on what certain stretch goals mean.

Episode 5: 10 Million Dollars
2K has decided to reveal its lengthy closed-door presentations at E3 2015 to the public, first with XCOM 2 and now with Gearbox Software's upcoming multiplayer entry, Battleborn.
The 20-minute video embedded above details the five-player co-operative action that blends the mechanics of Borderlands with a more level-based version of the traditional horde mode. Given the wacky cast of characters on the roster, of which less than half are shown in the video, I can bet that Gearbox was inspired by MOBAs as well like League of Legends and SMITE.
At a Tokyo Game Show that seemed a little so-so on its offerings last year, Super Rude Bear Resurrection served as an oasis. It was one of few games I walked away feeling entirely optimistic about.
Though it's taken several months to get any new Rude Bear news (understandable for any game without a huge team and big brand name behind it), the game is now on Steam Greenlight. It's also announced for Xbox One and PS4, though it lacks a publisher at the moment.
Super Rude Bear Ressurection is a 2D platformer in which players can use the dead bodies of their previous selves to their advantage. Is a pile of spikes particularly tricky? Well, you might get past it on the first go with some skill and/or luck. Or, if you suck like I did, your corpse can still provide a little bit of footing to give you a better chance next time.
Avalanche Studios has decided to go a different way with Mad Max than the standard film franchise tie-in route.
After consulting with Mad Max creator George Miller, the studio decided not to retread over the story of Mad Max: Fury Road. While the game follows a similar arc set in the same world, it has it's own beats, rhythms, and characters.
