This year's Electronic Entertainment Expo has failed to disappoint. From The Last Guardian's epic rereveal to the announcement of Xbox One backwards compatibility with 360 games and the launch of Shenmue 3's Kickstarter, there were a whole lot of jaw-dropping moments for gamers this week. Oh, and let's not forget that Final Fantasy VII is actually getting a proper remake!!
Chibi-Robo is one of those franchises that usually starts a conversation with either "Oh yeah, I loved that back when" or "I forgot that even existed!" followed by a chat about the days of the GameCube.
Nintendo hasnÄ‚Ë€â„Ët always been a big fan of their own furry creation. The last new release of a brand-spankinÄ‚Ë€â„Ë-new title featuring Fox, Peppy, Slippy, and Falco was in 2006 as
Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward is bringing a lot of new things to the game, one of which is unique limit breaks for each class. So long are the days of Monks and Ninjas using Omnislash.
A launch trailer has been released for FFXIV: Heavensward. It shows a lot of elements of the expansion, including its epic story, new areas, and all new limit braeks.
This year's E3 has a lot of cool games, but my deep interest in Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward made it a game that I wanted to get hands-on with more than any other at the show. So, the first thing I did when I stepped on the show floor was venture to Square Enix's booth, watch others play the expansion, and then play it for myself.
The fine folks at Eidos trotted out Deus Ex: Mankind Divided footage during the Square Enix E3 2015 media briefing. Give it a look above and try to keep from drooling.
The game is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC early next year.
IÄ‚Ë€â„Ëve driven down to LA for, including this current show, five E3s so far. While the drive is uneventful (and thankfully so, since itÄ‚Ë€â„Ës long enough without additional accidents and whatnot), some of my favorite moments havenÄ‚Ë€â„Ët been from any individual games, but instead experiences I wouldnÄ‚Ë€â„Ët have had without an event like E3. So, to help everyone understand just what IÄ‚Ë€â„Ëm talking about, here are three of my favorite memorable moments from my four previous shows. Enjoy!
During Square Enix's E3 media briefing, the company finally debuted gameplay footage of the highly anticipated action-RPG Kingdom Hearts III. Give it a look above.
The game is in development for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, no release window has been provided.
During Square Enix's E3 2015 media briefing, Just Cause 3 developer Avalanche Studios announced a release date for its upcoming open-world action game.
Just Cause 3 will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 1.
During E3 2015's Digital Event, Nintendo revealed Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash which is coming to the company's tablet-centric console this holiday season.
There have been a number of installments in this franchise over the years, so a version for Wii U shouldn't come as all too much of a surprise.
Square Enix closes out the E3 2015 press conferences this morning at 10am PST, though it made a huge impact yesterday in Sony's press conference with the reveal of Final Fantasy VII Remake on PlayStation 4. Hopefully we'll hear more about the long-awaited re-release during the conference.
During Nintendo's E3 Digital Event, the company announced a new entry in the Animal Crossing series for Wii U.
It's called Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, and, as you might suspect, capitalizes on Nitnendo's popular NFC based toys. Details are scarce, but it appears to borrow some elements from Mario Party.
We're all awake (mostly) here in LA and getting our caffeine levels up for the first official day of E3 2015, but we've already had some bombshells dropped on us during the Monday pre-E3 conferences hosted by the likes of Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, and Sony. These moments ranged everywhere from "What the f*ck?" to "What the f*ck?!?!"
