[Original] We're giving away 15 codes for the PS4 beta of Rocket League. No haiku contest or anything like that. Why? Because the beta ends soon, so we would like to get right into the action.
For the past three days we've been neck deep in the latest Heroes of the Storm Closed Beta patch. After playing dozens of games and analyzing data, we've decided to put together a tier list that shows who is hot and who is not.
Nintendo held a Global Testfire demo for Splatoon last weekend, but now Wii U owners have another chance to play the game before its release.
Nintendo of America revealed on Twitter that another demo will take place from 3-4pm PST on May 23. Once again the demo features the Turf War mode, in which teams attempt to cover the environment in ink. The team with the most ink on the level wins.
Details on Rock Band 4 continue to trickle out, and now we know a few of the songs that will appear in the game later this year.
Harmonix confirmed the first six songs to IGN as part of the site's month-long coverage of the game. It includes some familiar names for music game fans, such as Avenged Sevenfold and The Who. The full list includes:
Avenged Sevenfold - "Hail to the King"
Fleetwood Mac - "You Make Loving Fun"
Jack White - "Lazaretto"
The Killers - "Somebody Told Me"
Spin Doctors - "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong"
The Who - "The Seeker"
It's nice to hear about a handful of songs in the game, but I need more! Harmonix will likely reveal more of the set list later this month as coverage of Rock Band 4 continues.
Oculus VR has just released a list of recommended hardware for those who want to be able to properly run Oculus Rift when it arrives next year. Running at 2160x1200 with dual displays, the most well-known virtual reality headset is demanding, but can be tackled with affordable hardware that's already available.
Divinity: Original Sin was one of the best PC games of 2014, and now the fantasy RPG is heading to consoles. The Enhanced Edition comes out later this year for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Sony's E3 2015 media briefing will be held on Monday evening, on June 15 at 6pm PT.
The home of PlayStation confirmed its press conference plans in an invite, which is currently being sent out to members of the media (thanks, GameSpot).
Which games are you hoping Sony highlights during this year's E3 media briefing? There's an extremely good chance we'll get an extended look at Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and No Man's Sky.
In this First Look for GameRevolution LIVE (our first First Look, actually), I hunt down the supernatural demons in The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III. You can also read my preview of the game for more details.
Microsoft's Xbox One was the number one selling console during the month of April in the United States.
According to the latest NPD report, new-gen hardware sales continue to outperform that of their prior-gen counterparts. "After 18 months on the market for Xbox One and PS4, we are seeing cumulative hardware sales over 50 percent higher than the combined sales of Xbox 360 and PS3 at the same point in their lifecycles."
With regard to Microsoft's stellar performance last month, corporate marketing VP Mike Nichols said, "As the best-selling console in the U.S. in April, fans set record April sales and engagement for Xbox One last month," noting that Xbox One console sales jumped up 63 percent versus April 2014. Additionally, Xbox Live's global user base grew in size by 24 percent.
PlayStation 4 is still the overall leader in lifetime sales by a fair margin. Do you think Microsoft will be able to slowly catch up and perhaps even surpass the seemingly unstoppable PS4?

Wow. I didn't think the PS4's power could be better demonstrated than when Square Enix put it head to head against the mighty PSP. Who would have thought that this generation's scrappy underdog home console could display better graphics than last generations scrappy underdog portable?
As a public service announcement to those GR readers who speak Chinese but aren't quite fluent in Japanese, you can now totally pick up Yakuza 0 with Chinese subtitles, for PS3. It was also available for PS4, but now that version is showing me "Sold out" signs all over Play-Asia and Yes Asia, which are kind of my go-to stores. That's a shame, cause you gotta play this on PS4 in my opinion.
When this teaser site first launched, it said in Japanese "Young girls + Gust = new project" and I promptly bought a new desk to put my head through when stereotypes played themselves out anew before my disbelieving eyes.
We're giving away 15 codes for the PS4 beta of Rocket League. No haiku contest or anything like that. Why? Because the beta ends soon, so we would like to get right into the action.
Blake Peterson will have full-on preview of the beta later on, but why not just grab a few codes now and see for yourself. I mean, Psyonix did ask us to break the beta as best we can. We are happy to oblige.
Let's be real, CD Projekt Red has gone a bit overboard with its video releases for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It feels like every couple days there's a new trailer to watch. There's a good reason for it, though. The Witcher 3 is shaping up to be one of 2015's best games, and its latest trailer is proof of that.
It's been a tumultuous few weeks at Konami with the recent Hideo Kojima and P.T. drama. The company continues to move away from traditional games, and it looks like the move will be permanent according to a Nikkei report.
Buzz for Heroes of the Storm continues to grow as it nears the open beta phase next week and eventual release in early June. Now Blizzard has an exciting announcement for the most competitive players out there: it's introducing a global tournament for BlizzCon.
As we head to the end of Spring, publishers are beginning to announce firm release dates for their end of year game titles. In some cases, games are even being delayed, such as in the unfortunate case of Tom Clancy's The Division. Although one Tom Clancy game is being pushed to 2016, another is ready to pick up the slack.
The Xbox E3 2015 briefing has been announced and set on Monday, June 15 at The Galen Center in Los Angeles, California. Private invitations were sent earlier today, and GameRevolution will be in attendance.
Insomniac Games' upcoming Ratchet & Clank remake for PlayStation 4 won't be out this year. Instead, the game has been delayed to 2016 to coincide with the release of the movie, which has a star-studded cast of voice actors.
