Anyone could have assumed that Luigi would be in the next Smash Bros. game, but now we have a couple of screenshots from the recent Nintendo Direct broadcast.
Nintendo has confirmed that both Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy are coming to North America in 2014. No more details at the moment, but this is surely a reason to be excited.
Nintendo is hosting a Nintendo Broadcast in a few hours which will share "details on previously announced games for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS launching this year." The stream starts at 7am PST (10am EST) and the details will be posted here, on the blog, as it's happening. You can click here to find the [...]
A new firmware update is available for the 3DS in North America and it includes the previously-announced "StreetPass Relay" feature that is explained as follows: StreetPass relay points are located at Nintendo Zones all across the country. When a Nintendo 3DS user gets near a StreetPass relay point, it automatically stores his or her StreetPass [...]
There's plenty of fan-made attempts at bringing The Legend of Zelda to life outside of video games, but a professional attempt was made a few years ago and simply never went anywhere. You can click here to check out a pitch reel for a Legend of Zelda film that we'll never see on the big [...]
People were surprised to see Wii Fit Trainer and the Animal Crossing Villager as new characters in the next Smash Bros. game, and the cynical part of me wondered, "Maybe this is just to generate shock value?" It did get people talking, at least. But Masahiro Sakurai, the director of the game, has said that [...]
If you're looking to save a little bit of money, you'll be glad to hear that Nintendo has started to sell a refurbished version of the 3DS XL through its online store. You can purchase a Blue/Black 3DS XL for $169.99. You can find the product page here.
Gaist Crusher is coming soon to the 3DS in Japan and Capcom is set to release an attachment for the hardware that will provide in-game gear. This gear is not necessary to play the game, but this is exactly the sort of crap I would have wanted to buy when I was younger, so it'll [...]
Unsurprisingly, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are big games. If you're planning to download the games via the eShop, you'll need a spare 14,000 blocks, which is roughly equivalent to 1.7GB. In addition to this, "you'll be unable to have two games communicate on the same system should both be downloaded". But until prices on [...]
According to Media Create, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies has sold 250,216 copies during it's first week of release in Japan. This is a sell-through rate of 66.75%, which I'd imagine is considered a fairly decent launch for a game. Source
You know those StreetPass-based games that Nintendo released last month? They're selling well. Really well. Even though the company "did not use any type of mass advertising", the sales "were a strong ¥400 million in only a month". This is equivalent to $4,000,000 USD. Source
We've known about the existence of the special editions for the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y 3DS XL for a while now, but now we also have the box art for the hardware. Hooray! I still don't quite get why the Pokémon Y edition isn't red though. That is definitely a missed opportunity.
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team is coming to North America on the 11th of August and, if you're not completely sure about whether or not you want the game, you might be able to head to a local GameStop for a playable demo. The retail giant will be hosting events from 1pm to 4pm on [...]
For the past few months, Castlevania: Mirror of Fate has cost $40 when purchased via the eShop. It has now received a permanent price drop of $10, however, and can now be purchased for $30. The game has a rating of 72/100 on Metacritic.
Image & Form has confirmed that SteamWorld Dig is coming to the 3DS. It'll available via the eShop in North America, Europe, and Australia on the 8th of August. (Source)
Folks who want to download the 3DS version of Myst, a classic adventure title originally for the PC, you're now able to purchase it for just $4.99 instead of $9.99. This is a permanent price drop currently available in North America. (Source)
Because of Flipnote Studio 3DÄ‚Ë€ÂÂs popularity in Japan, Nintendo of Europe has delayed the release of the application so they can "deliver the best possible service to users" when it does launch. It was originally scheduled for release on August 1st, but now we've returned to having no idea. The full statement is after the [...]
Previously, we heard that the black 3DS XL would be coming to Canada on the 26th of July. That didn't happen though. Nintendo, however, has now confirmed that the colour will be available in North America on the 11th of August. Who plans to pick it up?
