The long awaited v1.03 update for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are ready for release. The PS4 patch in particular has been deployed in Europe as well as select countries outside of the United States. Thankfully, it'll hit everywhere else "soon".
Love it or hate it, publishers have been pumping out remakes and remasters like crazy this generation. From "Definitive Editions" to "Remasters" and "Director's Cuts" there's been no end to the slew of re-released content for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Until Dawn, the upcoming adventure horror game for PlayStation 4, now has a release date: August 25.
Pete Samuels, executive producer at Supermassive Games, took to the PlayStation Blog to make the announcement. lso details a new cast member. Peter Stormare of Prison Break, The Big Lebowski, and Arrow will make an appearance in the game, and Samuels says the actor "gave some incredibly powerful performances in the motion capture studio."

Resident Evil 0, the GameCube prequel to the popular horror franchise, is getting the high-definition remaster treatment, Capcom announced earlier today at an even in Japan.

The Witcher is a series with a strong PC heritage. Born with platform exclusivity in 2007, it bears great value to many PC gamer for pushing hardware, and as such, the imminent release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was reason for many to upgrade components. It was learned near release that the console versions may have been given the majority share of attention during development, prompting worry from many in the PC gaming community. For the most part, these worries can be laid to rest.
It appears that CD Projekt Red is very serious about supporting the PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Despite the game having been released less than a week ago, it's been patched a total of four times. Today, it gets its most noticeable patch yet.

Some indie game developers are fine with creating bare-bones titles while others put forth an extra effort. With Frozenbyte's puzzle-platformer, Trine 3: Artifacts of Power, the meticulous attention to detail really shines through in everything from enhanced visuals to additional game modes to extensive game options. However, the biggest change in this sequel is the jump from 2D to 3D, and the result teeters between good and bad. It's a good thing that the release date is currently undetermined because there are still numerous issues that need to be addressed as it develops under Steam Early Access.

Okay, confession time. You may recall that I, at one time, listed region locking as a reason I don't own a 3DS. It is. I mean... was. It was.
