| Broken Age is No Longer a Broken Game - Cliqist
Added: 04.05.2015 21:17 | 1 views | 0 comments
Serena Nelson writes: "Tim Schafer made a huge splash in the crowdfunding scene in early 2012 and put Kickstarter on the map. He pretty much set the scene for every game (adventure or otherwise) that would eventually seek funding by the fans. Asking for less than half a million but getting over three million for a game with no information was unheard of (before or since). The second half of Broken Age finally got released earlier this week and I've been playing hard to get to the finale hoping to see an improvement over the first half released some time ago."

| Kickstarter Videogame Reward Tiers That Make Us Salivate
Added: 04.05.2015 21:17 | 1 views | 0 comments
Serena Nelson writes: "Kickstarter is well-known for being a platform to get ideas funded by fans and without the need to have a publisher breathing down their collective necks. And while it should be enough to give from the kindness of one's own heart there still needs to be a carrot dangling from the stick to make backers reach deep into their wallets. And that's where the reward tiers come into play."

| Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today Review | G4@Syfygames

Marcus Estrada of G4@Syfygames writes:
"In 2014, an indie team by the name of Fictiorama Studios came to Kickstarter to crowdfund their mature point and click adventure game. Unlike mega successes such as Broken Age, the campaign scrambled to reach its goal in the last few days. In the end, a little over $50,000 was raised and they got to work. Here we are exactly one year later and Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today is out. Its the first half of the game, but unlike more typical episodic titles, takes about seven hours to beat."

| Koji Igarashi's Castlevania Successor Could Rise From The Grave This Week
Added: 04.05.2015 13:17 | 9 views | 0 comments
NLife:
Long-time Castlevania producer Koji "IGA" Igarashi left Konami a while back to move into indie development, but aside from a cryptic double-page PAX flyer, we've heard very little about what he's up to.
However, this week could change all of that, if rumours swirling around the dark and brooding nether-regions of the internet are to be believed. According to some sources, the runes in the PAX flyer actually contained a message "What a wonderful night to have a KS" which appeared to suggest that Igarashi would be launching a Kickstarter campaign in the not-too-distant future.

| Why gamers are going crazy for Yooka-Laylee
Added: 04.05.2015 12:17 | 3 views | 0 comments
Yooka-Laylee was funded just 40 minutes after its Kickstarter went live late last week. Within 24 hours, it had reached what was then its top stretch goal of £1 million to ensure a simultaneous launch across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC. The funds keep coming.
All this from a developer that is yet to release a game, but to be fair, has considerably more experience than most of its indie peers.
One thing's clear: gamers are going wild for Yooka-Laylee, and it's not hard to see why.
