Secure yours now before it launches on 9th June.
Well yesterday was rather exciting, wasn't it? How do you feel aboutt he fact that Microsoft has 180ed on its decision to make the Kinect a non-negotiable part of the Xbox One platform? If you've held out on buying a console up to now, has it tempted you to reconsider?
Other 2K studios also on next-gen, and Grand Theft Auto 5 has shipped 33 million copies.
In a call with investors, Take Two revealed that Rockstar Games is working on an unannounced next-gen game to be released before March 2015.
"Kinect is obviously still there" for developers.
Whew, it's been a lively afternoon, hasn't it? Alterations to the Xbox Gold paywall, the first free Xbox One games with Gold... Oh, and there's the small matter of Microsoft releasing a version of Xbox One that doesn't include a Kinect sensor. The latter will be on sale from 9th June, and comes as something of a shock given the manufacturer's earlier insistence that the console and sensor are inextricable.
Dark Souls, Super Street FighterIV: Arcade edition and Charlie Murder go free.
I'm slightly concerned that Edwin's keyboard is going to start smoking as he attempts to keep up with the news that has just gone live this afternoon, so it falls on me to alleviate the burnde by reporting that we have not two, but three free Xbox 360 games to look forward to next month as part of Xbox Live's Games with Gold program.
Halo: Spartan Assault and Max and the Curse of Brotherhood start things off.
Microsoft has announced the first free Xbox One games you'll get as part of the Games with Gold program - Max and the Curse of Brotherhood from Press Play, and Halo: Spartan Assault from 343. They'll be available in June.

It is truth: as per the rumours, a new version of the Xbox One is indeed set to launch without a bundled Kinect, and unsurprisingly, this edition will undergo a bit of a price reduction too.
And Kinect without Xbox One.

Side by side clips of Battlefield 4 at 60 versus 30 - can you see the difference?.
Frame rate! It's my third favourite games industry topic of all time, next to display resolution and the thought of having my prostate gland torn out by maddened cobras. Some say that it's impossible to tell the difference between a 30 frames a second game and a game that runs at the coveted "next gen worthy" 60 frames a second. Redditor RIICKY has decided to put the idea to the test.
Square Enix takes an axe to its Xbox 360 line-up.
Seriously now, Square Enix - what exactly are you trying to pull, here? I've already got Tales of Symphonia and Eternal Sonata on the go. I certainly can't afford to pick up Dungeon Siege 3 too, even if it does only cost a few pounds/dollars and change.
Three new maps Runoff, Swampland and Wargames shown off in detail.
Stand by for new DLC drop. Though Respawn already detailed its new Titanfall DLC pack, Expedition, some time ago, this is the first proper look we've gotten at its gameplay. And it shore is purdy.
Two new areas for BioWare's biggest RPG yet.
Being a proud son of fair (or at least, well-preserved) Ilkley, West Yorkshire, I'm a fan of country walking. You never know where a forest path might take you. In the case of Dragon Age: Inquisition, it may take you directly into the jaws of a dragon. Step forward senior environment artist Andrew Farrell to discuss two new areas from the game, the Emerald Graves and the Emprise du Lion.
Dead Island: Riptide, Plants Vs Zombies and State of Decay all slashed in price.
Grr. Arg. Nothing makes me angrier than missing a good sale, but thankfully we've gotten wind of this week's zombie themed offerings and are passing this knowledge on to you. Our brains are just too valuable for eating, alright?
But manufacturer may impose Gold requirement for other apps to compensate.

Latest patch adds points for CTF assists, punishes early quitters, adds custom loadouts.
A huge update has just gone live for Titanfall. So big in fact, you could say it's, ahem, titanic. Among the changes you'll find essential bug fixes (like your Titan being dropped in places where it could not be retrieved), subtle tweaks (killing the opponent's MVP bags more points) and added options for the Private Match Mode.
Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition to make landfall on Xbox 360 too.
Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 3 will see daylight on Xbox One. The Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition will release for both the new Xbox and the Xbox 360 on 19th August, combining all content from the original Xbox 360 version with a new class, new areas and new challenges, for "countless hours of gameplay".
Version 1405 also addresses the console's system update options.
Xbox One users participating in the console's preview programme are reporting that they have received a second update in just two weeks - this one concentrating on smoothing out a couple of problems encountered in party chat and whilst recording game DVR.
New game mode 'Chainlink' also outed.
There's just no such thing as being able to keep a secret in this industry. Especially not when particularly industrious members of your game's online community are able to scour game files to extract tasty tidbits of information ahead of an actual official reveal.
Microsoft "is funding the game and believes in the idea".
Sunset Overdrive has made something of an impression across the Wall, it seems. Insomniac has taken to Twitter to address upset over the game's Xbox One exclusivity, explaining that Microsoft was the right choice as backer because it was happy for the developer to retain control of the IP.
Joe Mad claims new owner Nordic is "very committed" to the franchise.
We haven't heard very much about Darksiders recently. In fact, it's been over a year since Nordic Games last mentioned the prospect of a Darksiders 3 after acquiring the franchise in the wake of THQ's demise.
Another CryEngine effort for the new Xbox.
Zomboko Entertainment has announced that Crossing The Line, a CryEngine-powered "mystical" first-person shooter, will appear on Xbox One. Find screenshots below - notice that there isn't a gun in any of them. Not your average blaster, then.
