Rare builds up to launch day next week.
Rare's Kinect Sports Rivals will finally arrive on Xbox One next week - 8th April, to be precise, and you'll need to be precise indeed if you're to master the target shooting mode, which channels the spirit of lightgun classics like Namco's Point Blank. Or why not try your hand at tennis? Check out the below videos for more.
"Hopefully now that they have more time they will fix that mess.".
The man who led development on the very first Xbox console has chimed in on the Xbox One's past and present fortunes, observing that the console's original online policies might have been workable, had Microsoft "fixed" them rather than dropping the whole scheme.

"We would definitely use ID@Xbox," says Dark Synergy.
Dark Synergy would like to release "next-generation sci-fi stealth-action shooter" Wake Up Call on Xbox One, though this will probably take place after the game's PC launch. Ever dreamed of stalking the corridors of a buried laboratory? This could be for you, then.
"You really have to ask yourself what's the best way to monetise.".
During a recent studio visit to Rare's middle-of-nowhere Twycross studio, I asked Kinect Sport Rivals director Danny Isaac how the game's pre-season trial went down, and whether it had ever spurred the studio into thinking about a free to play model of the game.
Will make updating easier in future.

"We wanted to give Titanfall a chance!" says Rare.
The absence of Kinect Sports Rivals - well, most of it - from the Xbox One launch line-up was a bit of a blow for Kinect 2.0: in Rare's absence, it was left to Ubisoft's disastrous Fighter Within to carry the torch for motion sensitivity. Things could have been worse, though. Rivals almost came out on the same day as Titanfall.
